“Coast Guard” T-shirt

Buzz Rickson’s “Coast Guard” T-shirt, constructed of cotton by knitting with yarns of variable twist. The fabric structure has a flamed, uneven surface, the result of non-constant spinning tension, characteristic of vintage jerseys. The silhouette follows a straight line, the crew neck is finished in rib knit, and the sleeves are short. Applied to the front and back are graphic “Coast Guard” prints.
